There are a variety of places to stay in Ka� from camp sites to 5 star luxury hotels. Most of the available accommodation is in small, family run, pensions (Bed and Breakfast), which represent great value for money. Most places have superb terraces for a real “Breakfast with a view”! There are a few larger hotels in Ka� itself but the “resort” style hotels are on what's called “The Peninsula” (Yarim Adas�) just outside the town. Whichever type of accommodation you choose you will find the people running your hotel very friendly and helpful.

Kaş is a small, friendly resort town on the Southern Coast of Turkey famous for its laid-back atmosphere and wealth of Kas adventure sports. Travellers flock here throughout the year, seeking the lovely Kas weather, beautiful sea views, and idyllic Kas hotels offering an unbeatable Turkey holiday.
A sleepy fishing port, Kaş boasts a wealth of history that is attested to by the rock tombs and ancient monuments dotted around the town. There are many artisan shops in Kas and pleasant cafe-bars (no big discos) with a relaxed vibe. The area is also a great base for those who'd like to tour Ancient Lycia. The Greek Island of Kastellorizo (sometimes known as Megisti) is just off the mainland and the closest Greek Island to Turkey, which means you can look south from Asia and see Europe! There are Kas boat trips to Kastellorizo and to the many bays and coves nearby.
Some of the Kas activities available include sea kayaking in Kas over the Sunken City of Kekova, the best diving in the Mediterranean, canyoning in Kas in beautiful remote gorges, mountain biking through cedar and pine forests and paragliding in Kas. In the heart of the Lycian Way, Kas has Turkey's first long-distance hiking route and rated by the UK Sunday Times as one of the "World's Best Ten Walks".
There is a wide-range of Kas accommodation available, from family-run Kas pensions to smart Kas boutique hotels on the peninsula. There are also posh Kas villas and modest Kas apartments to rent for those who prefer more independence. There aren't any large 5-star hotels in Kas.
The main season for activities and sight-seeing is from Easter until the end of October, when the Kas weather is the nicest. July and August are hot and our family adventures in those months include plenty of water-based activities. The off-season months are great for walking the Lycian Way.
Because it's a fair way to the airports (Dalaman or Antalya) most people who travel to Kaş come to discover for themselves a genuine exciting town a little off-the-beaten-track. Once they've found it though, they invariably want to come back.
